You like to write, you're a good writer, have a great blog and love blogging. Besides running your blog, are there other ways to earn money from blogging? YES -- consider consulting or writing posts for others. With new blogs being set up every 1.5 minutes, there are many people that enter into the world of blogging that don't fully understand how to do it right. Many are novices that start a blog without any knowledge of the best design, layout, theme, and basic principles. And others, after a few months, abandon their blog and their blogging efforts because of lack of time, interest or readership.
There's your opportunity. Once you've been established and understand how to succeed with blogging, you can market yourself to others by freelancing and help them establish their blog and/or write posts for them. You should set up a new blog specifically for this purpose. Establish your unique "brand" to stand out from others and create a super blog to promote yourself. This is also a great way to continue to network your primary blog by linking from your "consultancy" blog. You can help others set up their blog and get it going or continue to advise for a certain period.
To write posts for others, you should start in your area of expertise (romance, HR, web design, legal, money-making ideas, finances, blog set-up, etc). This will make blog post writing should easy for you. As part of your networking, determine which blogs could use your services and pitch the blogger on the idea. Most bloggers like to have guest authors anyway, and if your writing is superior, you'll get interest. You should also keep checking blog forums and directories, many bloggers regularly are looking for writers, often on a permanent basis. The use of social network sites to spread the word is very helpful for this, let others know you can help out.
