Procrastination Will Kill Your Blog
Blog Tips - You've heard (or know it already) that blogging is very hard work and requires your regular attention to be successful. There's a lot that bloggers need to get done each day, so procrastination is certainly one of your main enemies. If you delay on taking care of even the most basic blog tasks (comment responses, commenting on other blogs, ad updates, etc) you bury yourself with work ! Of greater concern is putting off the important tasks, because you thinkg the task is too big to handle. At the core of most procrastination is the worry of not being able to complete the task well. Look at writing blog posts, for example, if you delay writing the new post to the last possible moment or don’t write it at all, you'll do more harm to your blog operation than even if you were to write "less than perfect" post. And, while you're procrastinating, you're likely not getting any other blog business done either ! Why is this?
Most minds remain occupied with the thought (and worry) of the task you're delaying. When you do, you're putting your blog and your health at risk until you get the job done. It sounds so simple, but the answer is alway, “Just get to it”. This act will kill your procrastination immediately. But the issue is still; How do you do it? Because when you're in the midst of procrastinating, you can’t usually “get to it”. The answer lies in re-training yourself to re-build your daily operations and habits. Following that advice- Do the task you’re likely to put off first each morning !!! With better time management, you'll accomplish more. Procrastination is an easy trap, because it allows you to get into other, easier tasks and slowly "veg out", where hard physical or mental work becomes less appealling. In other words, it's taking the easy way. But, that easy way makes you far less productive and less successful !Since habits are more deeply engraved in our minds than a temporary trap of laziness, it’s only a matter of forming better habits to improve your production. Start tomorrow, do whatever task you've been putting off, and then discipline yourself to do those "delayed" tasks each morning for a couple of weeks, then turn the weeks into months and you'll soon form new, better habits. It takes sincere Discipline, Determination, and a deep Desire to succeed. If we agree that quality posts are the lifeblood of great blogs, try this--- Write a post every AM, immediately after turning on your computer, before checking your email and stats (because they can easily put you off track). For inspiration, if you need it, check the news and your feed reader, but make a time limit. Once you get comfortable in your new routine, you'll accomplish more and have a better and more profitable blog!
Don't procrastinate, but Blog To Great !!
