What Makes a Succesful Affiliate Blog, And How to Do It
Blog Tips- New bloggers- how are you deciding on your blog's niche? Personal interest? A growth area? What makes you pick what you will be writing about? It's important, because the key to a successful blog is the ability to meet a demand for services or products to a large enough audience. The group of potential readers for your blog needs to be large and you have to be able to offer your readers no matter what niche you're in. And, everything you do to get your message out to potential readers is marketing. You’ve had marketers pitching to you your entire life and many folks probably never even thought about it, it's time now for you to do it too. And, you’re going to provide your readers with a real help with your blog!
Your other concern will be whether there are enough people searching for solutions to their problems or questions on the internet. Depending on your niche (and blog), all you need is 100 visitors to your site a day and you may turn a nice profit. Other types of niches and products you might need thousands of visitors per day. It depends on what you sell, and who to, AND how much you make when you sell to them. Look at search volume, as indicated by a webtool like Wordtracker. By using it you’re looking at how many searches per day a particular word or keyphrase gets in the search engines. You then look at whether there are other sites or blogs that are competing in the same niche.
But bear in mind that NO competition isn’t always a good thing. NO competition could mean that there's no market for the product or service OR it’s not a profitable niche. Ideally, you want SOME competition, but competition that's not as good as you are or CAN be. Because, you'll make a better blog and provide better content in a better way. And finally, to find a good niche, you need to determine whether the niche has a quality product/service for you to promote. You need to sell to your customers/readers, product/service that is high quality, has great marketing materials and can generate good revenue. Plus, you'd like an area that you're familar with or enjoy. And this applies not only to the affiliate marketing model of making money with your blog. Because there are other ways to make money where these different factors could impact your niche selection.
With a good review of your options, innovation you can combine all of the above helps when deciding on your niche. This way, you give yourself and your new blog the best possible chance of success.
