Blog Tips - One of the easiest blog ad systems is changing ! Google has just announced improvements for Adwords advertisers that use the Google Adwords Starter Edition. They've developed a new interface that makes it easier for you to manage your campaigns, with changes to the new interface occuring over the next few months.
The basics of AdWords won't change; quick access to your keywords, ads, and settings, plus graphs to help you measure performance, and it won't cost you any more. When Google's finished updating, the look and feel of your account may be a little differnet, so they've published more info so you can familarize yourself.
Key differences after the Google Adwords update-
Just one edition
The new AdWords interface can be used by all advertisers -- there will be no more separate Standard and Starter editions. You'll no longer need to graduate to Standard Edition to expand your account. You'll still have a clear view of your performance, but you'll have access to advanced AdWords features if and when you want to use them.
Many products
Advertise a single product or business with one set of keywords and one or more ads. Or, create different campaigns with separate budgets to advertise additional products or businesses. You can even divide campaigns into sub-sections (called ad groups) each with many sets of keywords and ads. Learn more.
Many ad formats
Use text ads, image ads, and other formats as you wish.
More targets
Want to target several cities, states, or countries at once? Now you can. Multiple targets are part of all campaigns in the new interface.
Daily budget, not monthly
You'll now set your ad budgets per day rather than per month. Your overall budget will not change: In a month with 30 days, what used to be a US$90 monthly budget will become a US$3.00 daily budget. This change will happen automatically when your account is updated to the new interface. After the change, you'll set daily (not monthly) budgets for any campaign you create.
Advanced cost control
In the new interface, your default budget is called "automatic bidding." You'll also find advanced bidding options on the new "Settings" tab. Choose from many bidding options: keyword-specific bidding, content network bidding, ad position preference, and more. Learn more about your bidding options.
New "Settings" tab
A new "Settings" tab helps you make changes to settings for each campaign. That includes the audiences your ads reach, the amount you want to spend, and the Google partner networks your ads appear on. Learn more about campaign settings.
New "Networks" tab
Your content network statistics appear in a new "Networks" tab. There you'll see more information about how your ads are performing on Google, Google search partners, and the content network. Learn more about the "Networks" tab.
A new way to measure health
In your current Starter Edition account you have a single Health Meter for your entire account. The new interface replaces it with a status column that shows in detail how each of your individual campaigns or keywords is doing. As a Starter user you could see basic graphs of your performance. In the new interface, you can see more detailed graphs along plus your campaign statistics at the same time.
Advanced reporting
See a complete library of reports for all aspects of your account. Create custom reports to analyze your costs and return on investment.
Advanced planning tools
Boost your campaign performance with advanced features like conversion tracking, the AdWords traffic estimator, and helpful variations and statistics from the keyword tool.
