Adding images to your blog posts is almost mandatory in some niches these days and it can really jazz up your blog posts and draw attention.
If you are going to post images on the web it is important to know the differences between a .jpg, .gif and a .png format.
.gif and .png formats only have 256 maximum colors. If you are posting a photograph(that contains millions of colors) and you use one of these formats your image will lose much of it's quality and look fuzzy or pixelated. These formats should only be used for computer generated graphics. If you are posting a photograph always use the .jpg format
